What is silver clay?
Silver clay is a medium in which pure silver is in a moldable clay form to shape into your own one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry. Once the clay is dried and fired, it will burn off all the excess materials and leave you with a 99% pure silver bespoke piece.

Why pure silver and not sterling 925?
Sterling silver is made up of 92.5% silver and the remainder is other metals such as bronze and copper which are subject to tarnish quicker. While the mixed metals to provide more density and strength to the silver, the tarnish and restrictions of wear and tear can be inconvenient and not as skin-friendly - especially to those with metal allergies. Pure silver is made up of 99% silver which is it's purest form. While it may be softer than sterling, with the right thickness it will not bend as easily as you think. Pure silver is tarnish free, safe to wear in contact with water, more skin-friendly, and of course higher in value.

Who is allowed to take this workshop?
Silver clay is quite a complicated, delicate medium. Even with instruction and guidance, your ring could easily break during the process if not careful. We have an 18+ age policy in place because the techniques involved are quite advanced and require a certain level of maturity and comprehension. We want to ensure that all participants can fully engage and benefit from the experience. To ensure you can go home with a whole piece that day, this class is only for adults ages 18+. We appreciate your understanding!

What is included in the workshop?
The workshop will be 2 hours of hands on, personalized experience with a certified instructor to hand make a single pure silver clay gemstone rings. Up to 4 cubic zirconia gemstones of all sizes are included in the price and you may add on more for an additional fee. From start to finish, you will make your own one-of-a-kind pure silver ring and take it home the same day!

Where are you located? Is parking available?
We are located on the second floor at ROW DTLA in Los Angeles, CA. Parking is free for 2 hours. Additional rates may apply if 2 hours are exceeded. Detailed information of the exact office space will be provided upon booking.

Do you offer refunds, exchanges, cancellations, or rescheduling?
No, we do not offer refunds or exchanges as these are all custom handmade pieces and a unique experience for each individual. Please refer to our policies for all additional information, especially before booking. Booking a class with us acknowledges your agreement to all of our policies, terms, and agreements.

Can we make any type of ring we want?
As of now, we are only offering a gemstone ring making class and not offering a freeform ring making class. Silver clay is a fragile and delicate medium that requires technique and practice. For first timers/beginners, it would take a lot more time to be able to achieve a custom design and shape for beginners. We do plan on offering workshop series and packages down the line!
The gemstone ring shapes can be customized minimally without instructor approval gauging if it is achievable within the class time.

are dogs allowed?
We love dogs, however they are not allowed. The studio will have a dog and while he is hypoallergenic and friendly - it may become distracting when the dogs may want to play as we are focusing during class. If you have a service animal, we ask that you inquire in advance via email at info@claedostudio.com to arrange that the in studio dog is scheduled to be elsewhere during your appointment time.

how do you care for pure silver?
Each piece will come with a microfiber pouch for safe keeping, a polishing cloth to keep your piece clean and sparkly, and a care guide to refer to. Please refer to the care guide below!

How many people can take the class at a time?
We are only able to have 2 clients attending the workshop at a time. Since silver clay is fragile and delicate, we want to make sure our instructor to pay close attention to detail to ensure each client goes home with a completed piece.
If you would absolutely like to add a 3rd member to your class, you can inquire at info@claedostudio.com to see if we are able to accommodate you. Additional fees may incur.

Do you have gift cards?
Yes, we have eGift cards. Perfect to gift to a friend, loved one, and special someone. Please note the preset amounts are with taxes and fees included for an option of 1 or 2 people. The other preset amounts available are rounded up in case the receiver would like to have add-ons to their ring! Feel free to set a custom amount and allow the gift card receiver to pay the difference! Purchase them using the link below~
